Commercial HVAC Service Technician
The Journeyman HVAC/R Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate clearly with customers regarding system conditions and recommended solutions.
Core Responsibilities & Technical Abilities
Technicians must be capable of servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing:
- Package rooftop units
- Coolers and freezers
- Split systems and ductless split systems
- VRF systems
- Gas and electrical heat systems
- Boilers
- Hydronic heating and cooling systems
- Temperature control wiring and systems
- Defrost controls
- Low-voltage and line-voltage wiring
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC/R service experience
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification
- Proven commitment to superior customer service
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
